a courier should try not to drive like this!

Hello my dears,

Seems I’ve caught a little bit of a cold this past week! I’ve been sniffling and snuffling enough to drive everyone mad, I’m sure, and I could probably create a disgusting little snowman out of all the discarded tissues. It’s the rains coming back, I’m sure of it. Been a few wet days hereabouts, so I’ve been telling my courier friends to make sure they all drive safely on the wet roads!

[more]I had a nephew named Peter once who almost got into a nasty crash driving a little too quickly in the rain. When he tried to brake, his tyres didn’t grip the road with all the water about, and he almost skidded into the back of the car in front of him! Luckily, he told me just as he had thought he was certain to crash, his brakes worked, the tyres caught, and he managed to stop. I always worry the same might happen to a courier I know when the going gets wet, though, and you know I’m a worrywart at heart!

So dearies, if you’re out on courier jobs and the weather looks grey, don’t be like Peter, alright? It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the sky and slow down when things turn a little rainy. I know you professional courier drivers will always be careful, but still. I’ll only worry!
Take care, my dearies, and drive safe,

Gertie x
