Hello, all!

I hope you've all continued to enjoy this extended summer. I got a really bad case of sunburn from sitting out in the garden too long – my face and shoulders sort of resemble a beetroot at the moment!

That explains how come I'm sitting indoors going over reader answers to my question from last week, instead of enjoying the sunshine – I think I've had enough for one week. So I've decided to do the next best thing (for me anyhow) and whip up my trademark answers posts to the question I posed last week.

Now, if you recall, last week I asked you for your opinion about the prospect of doing courier jobs in the warmer weather - like we've been getting this past couple of weeks. As I expected, you lot had wildly differing opinions about the subject, and I have featured some of my favourites below.

'Courier jobs in hot weather? Not my favourite, thanks. I hate hot weather to begin with, and being a self-employed courier who makes my own hours, I tend to spend most of my summer (all three days of it) safely indoors. Needless to say, this year has NOT been fun for me so far!' - Rob, Tyne and Wear

'I, personally, don't mind doing courier jobs in hot weather. That's what air conditioning is for! In fact, most times, it's cooler inside my van than out. Plus, the slipstream makes it even cooler! So no complaints from me thanks very much. In fact, I was reading that lack of vitamin D (from the sun) can even be bad for our health. So bring it on!' - Dan, Merseyside

'I can give or take working in warm weather, but I can NOT give or take the money I make from it. So, as one of those old wrestling guys used to say, it doesn't matter what I think. I have to go out there and do my thing, and that's that!' - Joe, Cumbria

And on that assertive note, I shall see you all next week.

Until then, ta-ra!

Gertie
