Hello, dears!
Well, as the man on Game of Thrones said – "winter is coming". Or more accurately in our case, winter is already here. The days are shorter, there's a chill in the air, the woollen jumpers have been pulled to the front of the wardrobe, and some shops have already well and truly broken out the Christmas trees. It seems we'll have to bid farewell to warmer weather for another year and start preparing for the snow, wind and rain ahead.
Why am I bringing this up? Not just to be depressing, no! Because this time of the year always makes me feel a little sorry for people who have to go out there and do their courier jobs to earn a living. It's all well and good to breeze along on the roads during the warmer months, but it's not quite as fun to have to drive on frozen roads or under heavy rain. Besides, winter has a way of making everything more complicated – including the traffic – and that's the last thing you need when you’re doing courier jobs.
So it got me thinking about how difficult it must be for some people to have to do their jobs under those conditions, and it gave me an idea for a reader interaction – the one you're about to read! Basically, I thought it might be a good idea to give my readers the chance to vent some of the frustrations they encounter on their courier jobs by getting them off their chests – and maybe we can all even come up with some solutions.
Yes, that's right – on this interaction, we'll be discussing pet peeves relating to life around courier jobs. Now, when I say "pet peeves", I mean little things, like details or habits – I don't want to see anyone start bad-mouthing their jobs or bosses. That is the quickest way for your entry to not get published, as I really don't want that sort of attitude in my blog! So keep it fun and civil, so we can all enjoy ourselves.
So get writing, my dears – I want to see what sorts of things you come up with for next week! Although I can't promise any of the solutions, maybe some other readers can!
Until then, ta-ra.
