The Soundtrack of Courier Work

Hello, darlings!

Well – I promised fun and, three weeks into February, we're finally having a little fun!

That's right, today's post is that old favourite – a question-and-answer interaction between you, the readers, and your old Aunt Gertie! And for those who thought we had exhausted every single possible aspect of courier work that could be discussed, think again – because I came up with a very original question to ask you lot this time around!

Today's post isn't so much about man-and-van operations or biking around a city. Or rather, it IS – but only indirectly. What I'm looking to learn about this time are the musical tastes of my readers. Yes, you read that correctly – your musical tastes! Specifically, the type of music you listen to while out on the road doing your courier work. See, very appropriate and always on topic!

I know for most people music and driving go hand-in-hand, and I would wager that you lot are no different; I bet when you're speeding down the M1 or zipping around your local area on the way to the next job there's something or another playing on your radio. What I'm wondering is, just what is it? Is it that dreadful heavy metal? Something more melodic? Top 40 hits? Jazz? Old favourites? Church hymns? I want to know!

So that's your mission for this week: write in and tell me what kind of soundtrack your courier work is set to. You can do it any way you like, of course – this blog was never known for strictly enforcing procedures. If you want to tell me your top 5 artists to listen to, go ahead, but if you'd rather just specify the genre or genres, be my guest. If you want to send in a three-word e-mail - something like 'BBC Radio One' – well, that is a bit of a waste of effort, but I won't judge you. It's a brilliant station, but be a little more specific!

Can't wait to find out what you darlings listen to! I bet I'll be surprised at least once!

For now, though – ta-ra!
