Courier Jobs to Do Before You Retire – Your Answers

Written by Gertie | 10-Aug-2016 11:30:12

Hello, dears!

Before we begin, I would like once again to apologise for last week's tiredness. I feel rather more rested this week and back on track to talk your ears off about the ins and outs of courier jobs. I know how much you lot love my reader interactions so I didn't really feel too bad – and it seems like the idea has once again set all the grey matter in motion amongst my loyal readers.

The good news regarding this week's post is that I am feeling so much better after the flood of answers that came in to my question! You lot gave me more than enough material to make a post out of without really needing to add much of anything by way of remarks or content! I just love when you people do my job for me – it's both rewarding and relaxing! (I kid, I kid!)

Now, if you recall, last time, I gave you the challenge of telling me which courier jobs are on your 'bucket list' – that is, which jobs you have not yet had the chance to carry out, but would like to before you inevitably retire from the industry. This is what a few of you had to say – and I apologise that I can't publish them all…

'I would like to deliver a parcel to a famous person. I wouldn't even have to know it was him or her at the off – just show up at their house and be surprised! I think it would make for a good story to tell my grandkids. And hey, I work in London, so it could still happen!' - Mark, London

'I'd like to be a food delivery courier, like for a supermarket or a restaurant. I love food, and I love driving, so what could be better than putting the two together? Although it might be a bad time for that...' - Jack, Hampshire.

'I have to say I'm pleased to say there are no courier jobs on my bucket list. I retire next year, and I feel like I have had all the adventures I could possibly want. Time to take up golfing now!' - Richard, Norfolk

I feel that last one is a touching enough note to end on, don't you? Join me again next week and see what I have in store for you. (Hopefully I will have thought of something by then!)

Until then, ta-ra!

Gertie
