What Kind of Courier Jobs Do You Do?

Hello my dears! I hope everyone's 2015 has started off on the best foot possible, and that your month of January was productive and lucrative and all those other things we always wish for people we like! At my end, things have been quiet – it's quite chilly out most days, and the roads are a bit treacherous, so not many people venture out unless they have to. The only visitors at my cafe have been a few regulars who live nearby, and who come in for their scrambled eggs or bacon buttie more out of habit than anything else. Still, can't complain – they're keeping us in business!

Not having a lot of business also has its advantages, though – namely, that it gives me more time to think about new topics for this here blog of ours! And this week, as I was wondering what to write about next, something occurred to me – I had never asked my readers about what kind of courier jobs they did. I mean, I know the majority of them work in the sector, or know someone who works in the sector, but I'd never actually tried to find out how many worked for themselves, how many were part of a company, and so on, so forth. So that is what I thought I'd do with the first post of this month – try to find out how many different types of courier jobs you lot work in. This time around, though, I thought I'd do things a little differently – rather than have you write in with a free-form answer, I thought maybe I would take a survey. But since I'm hopeless with those kinds of tools – and most of the ones Stevie found for me were paid, I thought I'd just pop the questions on here, and you lot could write in with the answers! So that is what we'll be doing for next week. I want as many of you as possible to answer the following questions:

  • How are you employed? With a company, self-employed, other?
  •  What area of business do you usually carry out courier jobs in?

Once next weekend rolls around, I'll have Stevie tally up the answers (he has a better head for numbers than me!) and post them on here. Until then, ta-ra! Gertie
