Hello, my dears!

Well, spring has sprung at last, and I hope it has left everyone in high spirits – it certainly has done that for me! So that's why, instead of the stodgy stuff we've discussed over the winter, I thought we might do something a little bit more light-hearted this month. After giving it a bit of thought, I had the perfect idea – we'll use our usual reader interactions to play a couple of games…

Once I had settled on this idea, I then started racking my brain for what might constitute an appropriate challenge to present you lot with – and eventually, it came to me. Not just the one for this edition, in fact, but also the one for the next round this month, as well!

'So, Gertie, what are these games, then?' I hear you ask. Well, this week's one is really quite simple: I want you, in just one word, to define something you're all very familiar with: courier work.

Now, don't get me wrong – I don't want the textbook definition, or what the dictionary says the term means, or anything like that. I want your personal take on it. I want to know what courier work means to you, not whoever compiled the Oxford Dictionary! The only catch is, I want you to do it in just one word! You can include a little explanation to justify your choice, if you want, but the term itself has to be defined in a single word.

Do you think you're up for the challenge? Wait, don't answer that – of course you are. You're my readers, after all!

Remember, as always, don't be afraid to be silly or outrageous or left field – we won't laugh at you for it. In fact, we encourage that sort of thing around these parts – the more original you are, the better the chance your definition will end up in my final selection on the blog. So get those brain cells working and figure out how to explain what courier work means to you in a single word. After that, you know what to do: answers to the usual place.

I'll be eagerly awaiting your replies.

Ta-ra!
