Why Work as a Courier? Your Pitches

Hello, my dears!

Well, you probably know what I am about to say - and you're probably sick of hearing it - but by gum, I will say it again anyway! You lot are the best, most participative and imaginative readership I have seen on the Internet. And even though you may not be the biggest or most famous reader base out there, I wouldn't trade you for any other!

Why am I gushing like this, you ask? Well, if you know what our last post was, and you pay attention to what time of the month it is, you may find the answer pretty quickly. That's right – answers from the last Your Voice are in, and they're predictably a-moz! (That's what my little niece told me 'cool people' say these days. Not sure if she's right but I like the sound of it!)

Either way, last week I gave you a bit of a different challenge, but judging by the feedback I got, you lot were more than up for it! The challenge, if you for some reason were not here last week, was to come up with a sales pitch to convince someone to start doing work as a courier; and as you can see from the examples down below, my readers know how to be persuasive when they want to be!

'Why do work as a courier? Well, because it's good money, for one; because it can be fun on a good day, for two; and because you meet loads of people, for three! If you're the social butterfly type that gets on with everyone, you couldn't ask for a better job. It pays better than fast food, and with fewer rude customers than retail! What's not to like?' - Dan, Devon

'To me, if I was to tell someone why they should do work as a courier, I'd probably go with the opportunity to be out and about all day as my main argument. I'm an outdoorsy person, so I just love to have the chance to go around all day, driving, discovering new places and even parts of my town I never knew existed or paid attention to! I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way, so I'd probably use that to convince them.' – Anne, Cornwall

'No kids under your feet. Ever.' - Jack, Tyne and Wear

I think that last one might convince a lot of people, Jack – although not necessarily me!

Well, that's it – I knew you lot would be up to the challenge, and you certainly did not disappoint! Unfortunately, that's all the space I have, because I don't want this post to be too long and anyone lose interest. So for now, I'll just say...

...ta-ra!
