Tips For Rookie Delivery Service Drivers

Hello, my dears!

Well, I promised you last week that there would be a fresh new blog post waiting for you when you logged on this week, so never let it be said that I don't keep my promises!
(Of course, there tends to be a new post every week, regardless, but that's beside the point!)

Anyway, this time around, I thought we would do something a little bit different. What Aunt Gertie has for her dear readers today can still be considered a fan interaction, but there is an important twist: while I would usually ask a question and wait for you lot to answer, today I will be setting up more of a topic.

See, while talking to my nephew Stevie about potential themes to broach in these blog posts, he came up with something I found rather interesting – he suggested that I post a list of suggestions and tips for novice courier drivers, first starting out in delivery service. I thought this was a fantastic idea, but at the same time, I didn't feel quite qualified enough to write a post like that. So I asked Stevie if he would write it, but he had a better idea: to throw it to my readers.

So I will. Consider it thrown.

For next week's discussion post, I want you not to answer a question or comment on some light-hearted topic, but rather imagine you had a young delivery service driver under your wing and were teaching him or her the ropes. I want you to send me what you think would be the most useful tips, trick and pieces of advice you could give to this person. It doesn't matter if these were relayed to you by your own mentor at one stage, if you read them on the Internet, or if you just made them up. If you think they would benefit a rookie delivery service driver, I want to hear them! So let's get that inbox nice and filled up, lads and lasses - I shall be waiting impatiently!

Until then, ta-ra!

Gertie
