Hello, darlings!

Do I even need to say anything? I feel like, at this point, every other post begins the same way. Oh, blast it all – I shall say it again! I LOVE these reader interactions! My readership has some of the most interesting comments, answers and insights I have seen in my time on the Internet. Which admittedly is not that long, but still...

Now, with that out of the way, we can move on to the real point of this post – which is also a fairly common one if you have been reading old Gertie's ramblings for an extended period of time. Last week's post set up a reader interaction, so of course this is the one where I publish my favourite answers that I've received throughout the past few days.

Now, if you remember (or if you read last week's post) the topic of this particular fan interaction was regarding the seasons, as a way to celebrate the coming of spring. I asked my amazing fan base (sorry, had to slip that in again!) to tell me what their favourite and least favourite times of year were for performing courier jobs – and, as I expected, the answers did not disappoint! I noted on that post that everyone was likely to have different opinions about what constituted a 'good' and 'bad' time of year to do delivery work, and the answers below certainly prove it! Without further a-do, the stage is yours!

'I absolutely hate doing courier jobs in summer! Your nephew is right – vans can get unbearably stuffy, and riding a bicycle in the hot sun in a uniform isn't much better, either! I'm much more of a spring type of guy – even if you do get showered every now and again, you also get to enjoy all the perks of sunny days out, without the extreme, stifling heat.' - Jack, Devon

'My favourite season has to be spring – balmy temperatures, but not as hot as summer, long days, and in my particular area of England, fields and woods in bloom! I love driving or cycling around on courier jobs during this time of year and seeing all the natural beauty around me. As for least favourite, well, there's no beating winter with the snow and ice and rain. Ugh!' - Diane, Hampshire

'I'm going to be a contrarian and say that – when there's no rain or snow – winter is actually the best season for courier jobs. Why? People don't go anywhere except work, so it's far more likely that they'll be home to accept your delivery, rather than out at the park or the beach or some place like that. Least favourite? Also winter, because driving over ice should be outlawed. What can I say? I'm a Gemini!' - Keith, Lancashire.

What did I say? Best readership on the 'Web! (Last time, honest!)

See you next time, everyone!

Ta-ra!
