Hello, all!

Well, our reader-story-sharing month (which I have decided to rename 'Tales From The Frontline' – somewhat catchier, wouldn't you say?) continues apace. This week, I have had another good batch of 'tall tales' to choose from, but in the end I chose to publish Scott's. He lives in the East Midlands, and sent me a story about a time when a courier network not only helped him do better business, but also changed his life. Take it away, my dear.

'This is a story about how a software program changed my life. In this case, it was a courier network that myself and some other guys at my company had decided to join. Those things really do work, you know – we were definitely seeing more business from signing up for the network, especially when it came to back loads. But that wasn't the reason why this particular platform – which I'm still a part of, by the way – will forever be linked to my life path.

That may have sounded just a tad too theatrical, but trust me – if it weren't for this courier network, my life would not be as it is today. See, I tended to always travel the same routes, or at the very least around the same area, so the network would always send me to this one company that frequently had back loads. I made a lot of money off of those guys – but most importantly, I became really friendly with their front-desk girl, who always kept the loads near her desk and was always waiting with a bit of banter. And here is the real reason why I'll always be thankful to the courier network – that admin girl is now my wife! We got married two years ago and have a beautiful one-year-old baby boy. So you see, when I say that piece of software changed my life, I'm not exaggerating!'

What a beautiful story, Scott – I hope you two continue to be very happy together!

As for the rest of you, keep sending those tales – you still have one more week in which to do so; The haul so far has been excellent, but I'm sure you can do even better, and I want to close this thing out with a bang. So get cracking, you lot!

Until then, ta-ra

Gertie
