Courier Jobs Gone Hilariously Wrong

Posted by Gertie on 05-Jul-2015 12:11:35

Hello, my darlings!

Well – summer is here, and I am fully expecting a decrease in post readership to be just around the corner. After all, anyone and everyone who was able to escape this "Country of No Summer" will have done so by now, and will be basking in the sun in Marbella or wherever else you choose to spend your holidays. To those people (who may or may not get to read this while they are away) I want to wish a very happy break, which will hopefully help them recharge batteries in time for the return of the busy autumn season.

To the rest of us – those who were unable to take a holiday, be it because we have a cafe to run or courier jobs to undertake – I can only provide a distraction in the form of a reader interaction. And because it is summer, and none of us wants to think too hard, I chose to make it about as light-hearted, breezy and humorous a topic as I could think of.

That's why, for this particular fan write-in, we'll be discussing courier jobs that, for some reason or another, ended up being memorable in all the wrong ways. That's right, in this post we will be commemorating those jobs that went hilariously awry, leaving the driver with either a memorable story to tell or an embarrassing situation on their hands – and possibly both.

So if you have ever had one of those types of courier jobs, please write in and share it with the rest of us, so that we may all have a giggle at our own expense and at the expense of our profession. And remember, it does not need to be a particularly outlandish story – sometimes, the smallest and most insignificant details are the funniest!

I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!
