Hello, darlings!

Well, after refusing to leave for an extra month or so (for which we were all very grateful, I'm sure) it appears we may finally be bidding summer good-bye for another year. Days are getting chillier and I've certainly had to dig into my closet and take out a warmer jacket or two. It's nothing too worrisome yet, but knowing British weather, better safe than sorry!

Whatever time of year it is, however, one thing never changes - and that's the level of courier-centric fun we get up to here at Gertie's Cafe! And because it's getting chilly and unpleasant out there, I thought I'd give you all something nice and familiar to raise your spirits – namely, a reader interaction centred on doing work as a courier!

(I know, how shockingly original, right?! We never do those around here!)

Actually, the one we're doing this time around might actually be the most original one we have done in a while. And that's because, rather than be a 'regular' reader interaction, where I ask you lot a question about doing work as a courier and you guys answer it, I am going to let you change jobs for a little while, and go from couriers to salespeople!

That's right, this week's Your Voice is going to double as a sales pitch. To that effect, I want you lot to tell any interested parties reading this post why they should start doing work as a courier.

Yes, you heard correctly – this time, I don't want you to answer a specific question. Well, not apart from 'why work as a courier?' What I want you to do is pretend you are pitching to someone who might have an interest in the field (let's say it's me) and tell them (or me) exactly what the benefits of this line of work are, and why I should switch careers and start delivering parcels instead of manning a café counter!

So, do you think you're up to the challenge? Could you convince an old lady to change professions? Give it your best shot, and I'll publish the most convincing ones next week!

Until then, ta-ra!
