What A Self-Employed Courier Job Can Do For You

Hello darlings

Recently, we went over why a self-employed courier job would be an effective (and profitable) way to get fit? However, after mulling it over a little bit longer, I decided that wasn't the only benefit a job of this type could bring to the average person. So I took some time to try and come up with a list of other benefits (not necessarily physical) that working as a delivery person, especially as your own boss, could bring. Let's have a look.

Self-Confidence – If you happen to be the kind of person who is nervous when talking to people, forcing yourself to get a self-employed courier job might be a good way to get over that problem. This type of job entails talking to a lot of people, every day, but is also not as taxing or stressful as working a counter or at Tesco's. The fact that you don't even have to deal with a boss all that much means this type of occupation is the perfect first step towards becoming more sociable.

Organisation Skills – Being your own boss means drawing up your own timetable. Drawing up your own timetable (and following through with it) implies developing your organisational skills. And since you will always want to be on time, you will want to develop them to a considerable extent. So if you're the kind of person who can't find their shoes because their room is so messy, consider taking up a self-employed courier job. It might just do wonders for you in that department.

Self-Control – A self-employed courier job may not be as stressful as working in retail, or even 9-5, but there are still going to be times when you want to scream and lash out at customers. Teaching yourself to remain professional at the risk of losing a delivery will help you work on your self-control.

Physical Benefits – We went over them last time, but it's never a waste of time to talk about them again. A self-employed courier job, especially one involving a bike, will help you develop muscular strength and resistance, as well as provide you with a more balanced inner self (listen to yourself, Gertie! Don't you sound all new age-y! Teehee). So that is an aspect to consider as well.

Well, there you go, my dears – plenty of reasons why this sort of job could be good for you, mentally and physically. Food for thought for next time!
