What Does Valentine's Day Mean For Delivery Services Professionals?

Posted by Gertie on 05-Jan-2017 09:00:01

Hello, my dears!

Well, my goodness! Here we are - another year! 2017 is here, and it seems only yesterday that we were looking back on 2015. I hope you've all had a fab New Years', with champagne and celebrating to your heart's content, and are all ready to start another year of delivery-related fun here at Gertie's Cafe. I know I am!

Don't worry, though – I won't hold it against you if you're not too talkative this first couple of months. I know the start of the year is always extremely busy for people who work in delivery services, what with the Valentine's Day rush coming right after the Christmas one! You poor dears barely have time to breathe - you just get hit back to back every single year, don’t you?

Don't worry, though – if there's one thing Auntie Gertie has always tried to do it's provide some stress relief for my readers. In between all the rushing back and forth providing delivery services for early-bird boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands and wives, my readers know they can come to this blog for a bit of entertainment to help them wind down, and this time will be no different. I've chosen the perfect way to both kick the New Year off on the right foot and provide some respite to those already concerned with Valentine's Day. Can you guess what it is? If you said a reader interaction, congratulations! You've read this blog before, haven't you?

In all seriousness, though, even though the smell of roses and the thought of pink hearts is still some way off, I thought I'd tackle the topic early, so that I can stand out from all the other similar blogs on the Google search page (that's right, I've been reading books – thanks, Stevie!). That's why, even though it's January, we'll be talking about what Valentine's Day represents for people who provide delivery services for a living.

That's right, I want to hear from you lot on what Valentine's means to you. Is it just another day on the calendar? A moneymaking opportunity? A romantic holiday? All of these? None of these? Something else? Write in and let me know: just what does Valentine's Day mean for delivery services professionals?

I'll be posting my favourite answers here next week, as usual – and also as per usual, I can't wait to read them!

For now, though...ta-ra!
