Well, to say the last month has been a rollercoaster ride is an understatement! The weather can't seem to make up its mind about what season it is. Eating outside in the garden is just as likely to end in everyone getting drenched as being the lovely experience it should be at this time of the year.

Well that first post of the month certainly is the gift that keeps on giving, isn't it? And to think that at first, I was reluctant to do it! But it went over really well with you lot, and not only did it inspire me to share another useful bit of information last week, it got enough of a response to warrant a follow-up.

Before we get into today's subject, let me just say – my latest post got better feedback than I ever expected! A lot of you found the fuel-saving tips useful, and I got several messages from people telling me they'd never thought about some of those things and were going to put them into practice. I can't tell you how happy that makes me – it certainly makes covering a serious subject worthwhile.

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter and a wonderful start to your spring! Over here at the cafe I'm still recovering down from all the chocolate - plus the huge barbecue I had a few weeks back. I reckon I'll be all right, though and I'm at least in good enough shape to give you the usual weekly post to do with all things courier-related.

You'll see what on in a moment, but yes – if you were coming in expecting me to tell you why or how courier jobs can make you look good in front of your friends, that's not what we'll be talking about here. Because (before I get deluged with emails) if you're a courier and get to be out on the road all day instead of stuck in an office, you probably already ARE the envy of all your friends!

Well – I'm not even going to try with this week's topic. When I stumbled across it, I started reading and I must be honest, it made absolutely no sense to me. But I did recognise that it would make a very interesting and useful blog post, so… I'm bowing out and leaving the explaining to someone else! I knew I needed someone who could make heads and tails of the subject, so here's my nephew Stevie to talk about the benefits of tinted windows to self employed drivers and couriers. Or something like that...
