Before we begin today's post, let me start by thanking you all for the kind feedback on the past few posts. It seems the more serious subjects go down well with you lot and I even seem to have gained a few new readers off of them (at least according to those fancy statistics sites Stevie has shown me).

Before we even begin, I want to get something straight: that title up there, it's a pun. You'll see what on in a moment, but yes – if you were coming in expecting me to tell you why or how courier jobs can make you look good in front of your friends, that's not what we'll be talking about here. Because (before I get deluged with emails) if you're a courier and get to be out on the road all day instead of stuck in an office, you probably already ARE the envy of all your friends!

Well, as the man on Game of Thrones said – "winter is coming". Or more accurately in our case, winter is already here. The days are shorter, there's a chill in the air, the woollen jumpers have been pulled to the front of the wardrobe, and some shops have already well and truly broken out the Christmas trees. It seems we'll have to bid farewell to warmer weather for another year and start preparing for the snow, wind and rain ahead.

Well, after refusing to leave for an extra month or so (for which we were all very grateful, I'm sure) it appears we may finally be bidding summer good-bye for another year. Days are getting chillier and I've certainly had to dig into my closet and take out a warmer jacket or two. It's nothing too worrisome yet, but knowing British weather, better safe than sorry!

I know how much you lot love my reader interactions so I didn't really feel too bad – and it seems like the idea has once again set all the grey matter in motion amongst my loyal readers.

First of all, please excuse me if I seem a little less peppy and enthusiastic this week, or indeed this month. The caf has been so busy that I find myself getting home extremely tired and in no mood to do much of anything, let alone write about courier jobs. But I am making the effort tonight because I love you all to pieces, and I know you'll be expecting a post. It's not fair to let you down just because of my own selfishness!
